Speeding Concerns at Brimington Road, Tapton

Dear residents, 

Yesterday, PCSO Blair and PCSO Brown attended Brimington Road in Tapton after concerns about speeding traffic had been raised over the last couple of months. 

We attended with the speed gun to assess the general speed of the traffic, on this occasion there were only a handful of vehicles exceeding the 30mph speed limit by, on average, 5mph. 

We will continue to assess this road over the next coming weeks/months at different times to gain more of an assessment. 

We are also aware of other roads in the local area that have caused concerns to residents. Namely Station Road in Brimington and Hollingwood; Fan road in Staveley and Inkersall Green Road in Inkersall. 

Over the next few months, SNT will be assessing each of these roads.
